What Vishnu exhaust is this?
Got this from the clubwrx forums, but can't figure out what exhaust it is. When I emailed Vishnu, the guy told me they had Perrin and Helix exhausts as their standard series, but that doesn't make sense to me.
Vishnu Twin-Tip (Non Signature) Turboback (revving)

So can anyone tell me what exhaust is shown in that clip? I'm interested in it because it is twin-tip and quiet.

I emailed this same question to Vishnu and haven't gotten a response from them either. You'd think if you have a potential customer asking about a product you'd at least get a reply. Pretty stupid that I have to hound Vishnu for two weeks about this and still haven't heard back.
The exhaust in the clip is the OLD vishnu twin tip, IIRC it was made for them by a taiwan company.....vishnu was the only company to have that style catback.
Also, I am 99% sure they no longer carry that style, they went to the Helix brand for their (Non signature series).

The Helix exhausts are louder and less expensive...and "might" produce more power becuase of the straight thru design.
They changed exhausts mainly due to the high costs. I belive the non-signature dual tip was like $795 for a catback......and now you can get a Helix catback for $499 and a TURBO-BACK for ~$799.

That's why I was so interested in the exhaust shown in the clip.

I have that exhaust...I bought it used a few months back from another i-clubber. The exhaust was made for vishnu by a company called taipan XP. I'm pretty sure they are based out of Australia. Their stuff is high quality, but relatively expensive. I know that some poeple were complaining about the welds on the exhaust hangers falling off, but I havn't had that problem and I don't think thats why they stopped selling the exhaust. Like someone else said, they probably started using the helix for $ reasons.
btw...I am really happy the quality, power and sound of this exhaust. Check the classifieds often...I've seen a few of these exhausts for sale over the past 6 months.

I can't see the video in that file but i'm guessing you're talking about the Taipan exhaust system which we unfortunately no longer carry. The reason why we no longer carry it is because of the cost (our new standard exhaust is roughly 300 less, we haven't had any "too loud" complaints yet) and because it was a very difficult item to keep in stock.

Here's a picture of the old Twin tip, if you REALLY want to get it, i would suggest buying it used off someone. But if you only want it because you are afraid of the helix being too loud, i would suggest listening to another I-clubber's before you make your decision.
I'm very sorry that a few of you didn't get the immediate service you deserve. I was the "Subaru sales lady" until i had to come home (SoCal) for school a few weeks ago
Please send me a PM if you have any more questions.

Thank you kim for keeping it real... =P
The exhaust in the video is the old standard exhaust that we used to carry (Taipan). Made in Austrailia. Reason we no longer carry the exhaust was due to high cost and quality/fittment issues. Not to mention it takes weeks upon weeks to get a shippment of exhaust from Aussie land.
What we do offer now in a twin tip design is the Perrin exhaust systems. IMO i think it looks/sounds great. The tips are larger than the Taipan's, about 2" each tip, and the quality I feel is much better.
If you have any further questions please don't hessitate to call/e-mail us. E-mails may take a little long to reply to due to the LARGE volume we receive everyday. Do remember patience is a virtue ~_^
