Torque converter availability

FYI-

Torque converters. Got an email on my torque converter order.

It says:
"I have some bad news about your converter. It is on vendor back order. What that means is there are none in the country, it will be coming from Japan. That take any were from 3 to 6 weeks."

Sorry everyone! I meant to do this thread on a different forum. If an administrator could delete this thread, that would be appreciated!!!

Can't believe so many read this thread despite it being posted in the wrong forum. I thought the administrators would delete it. Beings that the thread is still up, I'll update it.

Got an e-mail today that my torque converter is being shipped.

Looks like SubaruParts kept trying to find one and were successful. I think that's way cool that they searched the country looking for one and thought I would pass on the info.

To make this thread a little more in context with the this forum, I'll update you with my XEDE order with Vishnu. Although I still haven't received it, I was doing some unwinding and thinking that their competitor claims to ship in 6-8 weeks of an order. I figured I would wait till after 8 weeks before I reposted on the matter as it seems reasonabe to give them their time.
