I laughed more at the chipmunk-esque speech. You guys need to find a bigger parking lot for that kind of stuff, doing 60mph sideways drifts across huge mall parking lots is more fun than doing tiny doughnuts/s-turns in something like this.

My Grand Am was alot more fun in the snow than my Impreza is though.. I could go completely perpendicular to the road surface.. keep it there (at speed), then just nail the throttle and 'pull' myself back into line with the road. With the Impreza I still haven't figured out any cool tricks. I have 'rallied' through a narrow semi-plowed lane around the mall though, that was fun as hell for about 3 laps. I tried to do it backwards and misjudged one of the turns, and smacked my right-rear wheel/tire off the curb, bruising my wheel.

Not everyone lives far enough north to do that.. but I might take a trip to do it one of these days.. it looks like a blast. Around here I'd plunge down to the lake bottom even in the dead of winter.

you're wrx has a 1000X more control in the snow drifting and being able to "pull" the car anywhere, i doubt you could even get a trans am pointed straight at all.
