Thunderhill RallyX Video(last one)

Heres a video of the last Thunderhill RallyX. Once you get past the boring 2.5 RS in the beginning, there are clips of:

Skylar-Modrift- Nice powerful linked turns 3 minutes in
Ansel-Rubberbiscuitt- clipping point master

random green OBS guy was good
and nice slide by the random STi at the end

Credits: DrTofu for the awesome filmage of me, his rallying to be compared with the others, except i was working and we were the early groups, sorry Bryan

Awsome.... when was this RallyX?

On another note, it looks like maybe I shouldn't have given Skylar quite that much power

Nice pivots on those STi's!

These were from 10/21/2006 -- final rallyx of the year.

Nice video Kyle - and nice driving. That's awesome you got that bit at the 3 minute mark. I remember grinning ear to ear since it felt so good in the car. Seeing the external shot make me long for some more rallyx action.

I'm not complaining too much. However, I think Pete's the one with a criminal amount of power in his STi. Fortunately he has rally tires to get the power to the ground.

yeah that 3 minute clip was pretty cool i thought. I remember your first run around the off camber s turn (the first turns) you powered thru it and totally apexed like 1/2 from the cone, but i didnt get it on film.

so whats prairie city looking like...or the next rallyX event? maybe my filming will qualify as working

i have antioch footage too! havent edited/found the tape yet.

Here's a clip from the first year of rallyx at Thunderhill in 2002 (I had a blue 02 bugeye at the time) where I skinned the cone on an apex. I think it was just dumb luck I didn't hit it.

Tam and Brent would be the ones with the Prairie City info - haven't heard anything new yet.

My WRX and I had an unfortunate "incident" in 2003 and it went to Subie heaven. I was at Altamont but didn't race (STi was out of commission to to a shredded CV boot, trashed axel, and bent wheel).

That was the second rallyx I'd been to and my driving style was pretty much 100% throttle and Scandanavian flicks. Brake pedal whaaa? Slow-in-fast-out whooo? It either made for very fast runs, or very dead cones. Always made for a good time at least. I'm a bit more consistent nowdays though (left foot braking, throttle modulation, ebrake).
