Theres another vid somewhere with the scion doing 12.1 at the track on slicks turbo is a small 16g

 

Yeah, I've seen this. I got banned about 2 weeks ago from www.iwsti.com for saying, "That STi got SMOKED, plain and simple."

All of the little STi Fanboys were up in arms about it, crying about how "THAT SCION HAD A TON OF WORK DONE TO IT!" From what how it was mentioned on the video, all that Scion had was an exhaust and a turbo.

When I made the comment, "Quit making excuses, the STi simply got SMOKED," I got banned for "inciting an e-war." What losers.....

Its been set up with a Fmic pulley small 16g for some time ive seen the car alot over the last few months sitting at their shop.

 

It hard to tell if the STI was actually trying to catch up on it? I'm not saying it didn't try, or that STI's or GOD's vehicle of choice...just saying I'm not sure if that's accurate to say say it got blown away...I'd like to see it go against an STI on the track and see how it does. Maybe it does or doesn't have a chance.

 

I know the 2.4 in the scion has a lot of potential in the long run. I remember right after the car came out, someone had already achieved the 1,000hp mark. No problem though because I enjoy all types of fast cars.

Maybe he didnt i dunno....he did tell me their 16g wrx keeps up with the scion i never asked about that vid ?

 

well the stock scion weighs around 2900 lbs and the stock sti is around 3,300 lbs so that has a lot to do with it as well.

 

Forget watching the picture and the noise from the Scion. You ever made the STI scream in rage??? You can't keep up with the six speed it happens so fast. LISTEN to that STI. Anyone on this forum who drives one KNOWS this car was not being pushed to it's limits... Sorry. Must go +1 for a staged video like most are.

BTW ~ I put EVO's and STI's through their paces often... they do not sound like the motor of that STI at full song!

I do like the solid lanes of traffic on the other side of the highway without a divider... another fine sample of two boneheads doing something stupid for 5 minutes of fame on some lame internet video. Glad it all worked out for them.

Could have ende like the two Lexus's, eh???

 

Ummm...if that STi truly had a 3" dump exhaust on it, how come I could barely hear it? Hrm..

What a lame stage. To quit for a full out run. Cobb Stage 2 would be way louder than that on the STI, IMO. I have a Cobb stage on my REX and it screams like hell. That Scion might be fast but I know my WRX is louder at WOT than that STI was....fishy

 

i believe theyre just doin a video or a commercial of the scion not racing....

 

the sti was on it a little, just to keep up with the already accelerating scion...in the long run, the Sti would have smoked it, from start to finish. They were just filiming the potential of the tc.

 

i kno from first hand experiance that the sti wasnt doing its potentialor the kid driving it doenst kno what hes doing... he doesnt even downshift or sounds like he is in high rpm.... i thoink you would be able to see the camera jiggle when the kid in the sti stepped on it.. well thats just my opinion the sti wasnt trying
