how can you say its fake? looks pretty authentic to me, but very developmental
appears that each of the plates has touch sensors and a bar at the bottom which tells the panel of monitors what to display, the stylus is used to manipulate the touch screens or transfer data to be displayed on another screen....i dont see any reason how this is fake or impossible, looks pretty freakin innovative to me

the panel of many separate monitors makes it so you can arrange all your information however you want it, it also appears that the screens are magneticaly sensitive to be used as a sort of card reader for that checkout feature it demonstrated

this computer that the monitor system is connected to must have a pretty large database, or just what he put in for demonstration purpouses

so tell me meilers, how is it demonstratably fake?

I teach at a school that, among other things, teaches special effects (CGI, compositing, editing, etc); some of my students could put together something like that over a weekend. There are many obvious clues that the "display" graphics being shown in each panel are put in as post-process effects; the most obvious being that even though they glow bright green, there is no "light spill" of colored light either on the person's hand or on the materials around the little displays. Also, there is no display technology on earth today that can do anything like what was pictured; LCD panels do not give off light, they require a backlight. OLED panels are opaque. Plasma displays require a vacuum and thousands of volts of electricity. You can rule out all current display technologies.

If you go to the library, the issue of Scientific American about six months back had an excellent article on the state of current display technology, including theoretical dsplays not expected to be perfected for a decade, and nowhere in the article is it mentioned that we have currently functioning displays that are just glowing neon slabs of glass.

After looking at a third time, I can see another way it could have been faked; the panels themselves are actually just glass, and what they are being set on is a flat-screen monitor. You then produce a video which displays what is being "shown" on the little glass screens, using After Effects or Combustion, and then play that video back on the monitor behind the screens. The "actors" with the hand and the camera just have to rehearse the routine a few times to make it look natural.
