I dunno... I was let down by GT4. I really don't know why though, but I just like GT3 better than GT4.

If I ever get a PS3, I'm definately going to rent this GT before I buy it.

Watching all the trailers and previews, I still feel like it's not real enough... The cars look amazing and so do the backgrounds, but it's all too perfect. You watch any real GT event and all the cars have nicks and imperfections, scratches on the car, etc.. They also don't flash and shine and reflect as much as the game cars, they get bits of flat spots and other things. I think it's a great step up from GT4/GT3 graphics wise, but it's a long way to go before the true vision.

looks good but besides the AI being horrific in the first 4, they really need to improve the sound of the cars. That has always been my biggest dislike with the game.

ive played all the grand turismos. and just recently bought an xbox on ebay and am playin forza. the realism is so much better. from the oversteer, to actual grip physics, not to mention an actual damage model. i like forza better. i think if forza improves their graphics and adds more dimention to their next release (set to compete with gt5) and if they can maybe better the physics a little bit, they will have a better product.

but ive got to give credit to the gt5 guys. i would actually love, LOVE, to see them come out with a computer anumated movie using the type of graphics and fps that they used in the demos. now that would be sick.

dunno, but GTHD will rape you on prices with the whole coming with two tracks and having to buy the rest and actually buy cars

what happened to GTVision?

Premium mode is a single player preview of Gran Turismo 5, featuring a full-fledged PS3 graphics engine and detailed tracks and car models.
so GTHD is like GT4.5?

Those demos had nothing to do with in game footage is my understanding. It was basically just what Gran Turismo would look like in HD.

You beat me to it. The sound in those previews actually sounded alot better than the last games, but it could just be doctored up, too. The sound effects in NFS:Most Wanted puts the sounds in GT to shame, IMO.
