thanks for reminding me....

Bosozokus will fear me again

Used to have fun with the idiots.

They like to drive into oncoming traffic on stolen scooters and motorcycles.

Story #1:
Just finished putting my S13 Nissan Silvia K's swap together at 3am, and was driving home on it's maiden trip with it's CA18DET engine in place. Traffic ahead suddenly opened and I floored it.

Then I notice three lanes of headlights coming at me on a four lane road. (two in each direction). I think..Ok...what's this BS.

It's nothing but these ugly sedans and motorcycles. Ahh....Boso's Yeah.

Highbeams on....down shift....Blow off. Motorcycle coming right at me (keep in mind they are being annoyances and only going like 20kph) notices someone isn't playing nicely with them and turns left and smacks into a sedan, he rolls onto the hood of the car and his bike dives into the road behind me.

I neatly accelerate out of the area....

(This was prompted by the fact that a friend of mine was jumped by a group of these scum not less than two weeks before this.)

Nothing major happened to the guy. He got up and was fine. His beat and stolen scooter on the other hand, didn't seem to want to start again. (as seen in my rearview).

Story #2:

Driving my wife's wagon (Nissan Avenir think G20 Infiniti wagon) making a left turn on a street where oncoming traffic could not make a right turn.

Suddenly there are two motorcycles right in front of me making a turn from the oncoming lane. Mind you, they isn't a turn for them.

Slam on the brakes, the guys (4 on 2 scooters) look scared as hell...(duh you just about got killed).

I look up...see it's Boso's again, my half Japanese buddy is like "Get em" as they take off. He wanted a word with them.

So I slam the gas down and shut off the AC, roll up the windows, turn off the radio....anything to catch these idiots. (car had an SR18DE motor so no love in the power department)

These idiots on the bikes are jamming through traffic, and cut across on coming to zip down the far right side shoulder.

I catch a red light and slam on the brakes, resigning to let them go.

I come to a smoking stop, slanted in the lane with an old Japanese guy to the left of me. He looks watching the motorcycles take off down the road (On the wrong side) and looks at me and my buddy. Smiles and gives us a thumbs up for our effort.

Can't stand them fools is the cliff notes for the stories...

Call me an ignorant Cali native, as I have never been to Japan, but what is the story with this group? Or is the "Bosozuka" name just a general description for this behavior in japan?

they are a bunch of spineless trouble makers that like to go around causing additional traffic delays.

Most of the motorcycles they ride around on are stolen.
They like to drive by parked cars and beat the crap out of them for no reason with baseball bats.

Wikpedia actually has them defined to a "T" as endorsed by me, having lived there for just over 10 years, and will be going back next summer.

Hey, thx. I didn't want to comment ignorantly.

I trip hard on how "hardcore" the Japanese are about their hobbies and identity. It seems like if your into something, there is no "into it a little", if your into it its like your religion almost.

I see why you hate them. I would too. They seem to be of the same mindset as the "sideshow" crowd in the East Bay or those "scraper" people. Mindless idiots.

When your an HVAC tech on an emergency call and theres a sideshow nearby, there are delays....I know first hand. The cops lock down entire neighborhoods to hand out tickets and make arrests.

But to each his own and I'm interested in the Bosozuka shenanigans anyway...sideshows are SO last year..lol

Redstage, the Boso sound like TOTAL a**hats. Have fun in Japan bro...:] I'll be giving you a shopping list a mile long.

That's what everyone keeps saying.

The major problem with the Boso's is they have no remorse.

Buddy of mine watched a guy on his bike with his girl on back take a spill. The girl was hurt and the guy got back on his bike and took off. Leaving his girlfriend behind.

Buddy called the cops, and chased down and caught the guy.

that silver boat looking thing will NEVER pass shaken.

Some totally ruined classic Skylines in there....

(Finally got to watch the video)

The cars in here although annoying aren't generally the trouble makers. These ones are more dressup than anything else. One thing I always gave credit for...although the cars are outlandish, the bodywork was usually amazingly clean.
