I do Industrial controls for conveyors and robotic equipment. So after seeing that, I know what it takes to do that. And I will have to say that was awesome. I bet he has spent at least six months minimum to do this. Each section of lights is on its own output signal from a controller. Just the wiring and testing to do is mind boggling. Then to write the program and to test it and sync it up with music. I tip my hat to his knowledge and creativity. (and his patience)

haha.. its not that hard.. iv done lots of movie editing... and anyone with a camera.. some halfass editing skills and way too much time can do this... its just a bunch of really short clips put together.. he does a short clip of each set of lights to turn on and off.. and then choices which ever ones he wants and can easily match it up with the music.. u can tell several ways its edited...

If he did it with movie editing, then yes its easy. But if he actually did with a PLC then its not easy.

for those skeptics from the other threads- I just saw this guy on inside edition and it's all programmed, not spliced together.... half of his garage is taken up with the circuitry, etc.
