Honda Sonic history

 

The cables where there to prevent the car from falling and killing the people below. It's like a giant E-brake.

 

Also so the car didn't slide back downhill and kill the driver. I really doubt they would have gone to all that expense just to cheat.

I'm just kind of curious how they got it up there to begin with.
