the blow off valve is called a TIAL .. very hard to find ..

You cannot ID a bov by sound, really. I can make any BOV sound like that.

 

bov + stock setup = piece of S%$@

 

That obviously wasn't a stock setup on the sentra. But I'm assuming you're talking about a wrx, in which case ya.

 

does anyone kno how to make a hks bov sound like that??

 

that is a HKS SSQV, not a tial and NO WHERE near the sound of a tial. the sound depends on what kind of intercooler/turbo you have. if you have a fmic with a decent sized turbo it will sound like that.

heres a video of my car when i had a blitz fmic with the hks ssqv welded on the piping. i had recently gone back to the stock turbo so the flutter wasn't as much as it was with a larger turbo but you get the idea..

now that i have a big turbo the flutter is alot more and there isn't really a high pitched sound.


Imprezer - alex try and make a blitz or tial bov sound that high pitched, ill give you $1,000 if you can

Dan, I am not saying that it is Tial. I am saying that you cannot say for sure what it is. I too think that this is probably SSQV, but in general you cannot ID a BOV by sound. You can guess, but that will not always be right. That's what I meant. And yes, I can make Blitz sound like that if I really wanted to.
