Uhh... except the I6 is pretty much dead today, and V6s are everywhere. Heck, even BMW is moving to V8 for the M3. Personally I find I6s cool because they're rare, but a V6 configuration makes a lot more sense.

Soundwise I agree (especially when considering an M3), but that's not enough to justify the I6 over a V6, especially to a car manufacturer. Torque-wise they're about the same. Take BMW's 3.2 L S54B32 (E46 M3) which has around 260ft-lb to Nissan's 3.5 L VQ35HR which has around 270ft-lb.

i still love the supra, i almost was going to get one of those instead of a subi, but i like my AWD UGM WRX.
the supra just has so much potential, and where im from, i have not seen a street supra in years, let alone the twin turbo, but zx's are everywhere

The justification comes from the potntial of the engine. Name one stock block V-6 that compares to the stock block inline 6 that the supra has. Not many options.

i cant think of any v6 off hand that can get 1000 hp off the stock block without problems
+i hate the tail lights/rear end on the zx's, they look like a 1960's space ship out of bad movie

buick grand national If I am remembering right that is a V6.and is the true turbo god. also the 2jz cant hold 1000 hp on stock internals without problems. it is more like 700hp. and that is not whp but flywheel hp. dont get me wrong I would love to own a supra but it is not just the fact that it is an inline 6 that gives it the strenth. toyota in general over dose it on there motors. look at the 4agze you can get around 350hp out the stock internals and it is a 1.6L. also about the supra. when moding one I think it goes something like every time you open and close the hood you get an extra 25hp hahaha.
