What would you suggest for a more comprable brake pad for track use?

What could be different in design for the cooler kit to work more efficiantly?

The design is good. The only thing that would make it better is a good duct for the front. You use either a NACA duct custom mounted, or get the WRX fog light trim without fog lights. I have seen others do this.

As for pads, there are lots of good options. I like Pagid and Ferrodo.
