Equilibrium Tuning

After many rain delays, I finally got my car tuned this past Saturday @ EQTuning in Fairfield.

2003 Sonic Yellow WRX 2.0 Liter
91 Octane
VF43
Borla Hush Catback
Titek Catless Downpipe
Grimmspeed EWG Uppipe
Tial 38mm EWG
APS 65mm Intake
Perrin Turbo Inlet
Ebay TMIC
STI Pinks
Walbro 255lph Fuel Pump

293WHP/253WTQ!

Here is my plot:

I want to thank Ed for doing a great job tuning my car. The power and smoothness is "WooHoo!" It was great to finally get this tune dialed in and see what numbers this setup would put down. The outcome exceeded my expectations and just proves to me more that Ed is the man and a genius at what he does. Last, but certainly not least, I want to thank Adam for wrenching at my car. The car is running great. EQTuning, keep up the fantastic work and good luck with the projects that lie ahead of you.

PS: If you need a food break let me know. I'll pick up EQTuning some Philly Cheese Steaks. Maybe, I'll even take an order for Taylor again...haha.

Regards,

Kevin Loo

Another STi turbo that breaks 290whp on 91 octane! This is awesome! One of the finest 2.0 liter torque curves I've seen (using an STi turbo). I can only imagine with EL headers how much more substantial torque you'll gain!

Hey I've got a very similar setup to yours tuned by Ed except with FMIC and no EWG. What was the outside temp when you were tuning?
Congrats on the power!

Holy Carp! Good thing the Sonic Yellows got the thicker gears (build date of May 2002 or later).

I am not too sure of the temperature, but we tuned this past Saturday around 12:30 - 1pm. I'll have to have Ed dial in and give you a response on this question.

Haha, I am sure my gears will be fine (knock on wood). Ed commented on my shifting when during the pulls. Ed: "I see that you like to baby your tranny."

I am pretty gentle with my tranny. I never launch either.
