The Gruppe-S Power Package #1 was designed to provide the best "power for the dollar" solution to entry-level power modifications. After extensive testing, we carefully selected a parts combination that will yield the maximum amount of power without sacrificing drivability, reliability, or your wallet! We found that because of the stringent emissions regulations in the US (especially California), significant power can be made with the stock turbo by simply allowing your Suby to breath better. The combination of the uppipe, downpipe, and choice of cat-back exhaust system yields an incredible 30whp gain (15%!!) for the WRX. As can be seen from the dyno graph, with our Power Package 1, the WRX makes a significant increase in torque and HP from 3000 RPM and holds that all the way to redline.




POWER PACKAGE 1 Includes:

*Helix Flex Section Uppipe - This uppipe is simply the best uppipe on the market. It features huge 1/2" thick CNC machined flanges to guard against heat expansion and cracking. It incorporates a T304 Stainless Steel Mandrel-bent tube design to further guard against stress. The EGT bung is CNC machined out of solid tube to allow the EGT probe to seat properly - threading a metal tube with a washer to seat the probe or removing the EGT probe completely is NOT ok (like some others on the market). The flex-section not only ensures stress reduction from engine vibration and torsion (this is why the stock uppipe has a flex section), the flex-section ensures a perfect no-leak seal everytime even with different combinations of aftermarket downpipes & manifolds.

*Helix Bellmouth Downpipe - This downpipe is simply the best downpipe on the market. The bellmouth is an extremely important feature, which reduces turbulence and back-pressure caused by the internal wastegate flap. Any downpipe without a bellmouth should not even be considered for performance applications. Furthermore, unlike many of its competitors which attempt to create a bellmouth from either crushing or welding tubes together, the Helix bellmouth is a steel casting, which ensures production uniformity and smoothness. The Helix downpipe is constructed from high quality T304 stainless steel, mandrel bent, and with thick exhaust flanges. Includes CEL-FIX (02-03 only).

*Cat-Back - A chain is only as strong as its weakest link and that rule applies to the breathing abilities of your Suby also. An aftermarket cat-back exhaust system is absolutely necessary to enjoy the full gains of uppipe and downpipe replacement. We offer A'pexi, Blitz, Greddy, and HKS.

Choku Dori - Unfortunately no, this package will not pass emissions in most (if any) states.

For a solution that can pass emissions, we are currently testing a metal substrate metal catted downpipe by Helix. We will keep everyone updated!
