I has a few questions about the Cusco LSD offered in the above post.

I was wondering if this might work on my 01RS transmission?
I would also like to know i could use that LSD on a 6 Speed STI?
I have read that you can use the same LSD in all the subaru transmissions, but I could be wrong.
If I mainly do driving on the street, (tarmac only) will i ever need anything more than a 1 way slip?
Lastly is this a RS or MZ LSD?

Also what are the advantages of this LSD, and what are its disadvantages?

Is it possible to get the Hyper single WITH OUT the flywheel? I bought the combo pack about 1 yr ago...but now I need a NEW clutch to hold my new power....so I dont need the flywheel.

If it is sold separately, how much is it?

thanks

Bong Man - yes you can use this front diff with your 01 RS tranny, as well as on a 6 speed. For the front, 1 way is best. The above is the RS unit, which is a more compliant unit than the MZ and a bit faster to engage as well. There really are no disadvantages at all - its a totally transformed car with a front LSD in it!

1WRX2NV - the Exedy Hyper Single is only sold as a set with the flywheel it is not the same flywheel as the Exedy lightweight unit we sell seperately though. The Hyper Single was designed and conceived only as an integrated clutch/flywheel assembly.

What kind of pwoer are you now making, and what type of driving do you do? What are your ultimate power goals?

Hey Adam,
Thanks for that info...I am at 300WHP give or take (havnt dyno'd yet) and I already have upgraded to an JDM STi 6 speed. The Exedy Sport Clutch I have is starting to slip in 4th and up at arround 5K rpms. I have already spent ALOT of money an this dang car..lol...so I would like to get a clutch that will last with this power. Would the Hyper Single be an over kill? I rather be safe than sorry...you know.

thanks for your replies. PLEASE PM or email me with a price for the Hyper Single too.

As far as Goals, well I have changed my set-up MANY times and I think I am done now (at least for now) Manybe the next time I will upgrade from my PE1818 to a PE1820. But thats about it.

Hope this helps

Freddie..the hyper single is a nice unit, but a bit agressive for everyday use IMHO. The twin, while more expensive, is a better bet overall, as its far easier to drive daily, plus has a higher HP threshold.

Have a look here: http://z1auto.com/prodmore.asp?model...line&prodid=65

Sweet thanks for the quick replies too. Ummm, how much is that Exedy Twin? And have you heard of the ATS Pro Spec? Someone else told me about it so now I am researching this as well. Do you have any info or feedback on this?

Thanks

ATS is a very nice unit as well, and we do offer them, just not on the site yet. They are more expensive than the Exedy as the ATS uses twin carbon disks.

Have a look on the link I sent....prices are there, and you can buy it online.

For the Hyper Single, here is the link:
