[Sold] FS: Cobb first gen double-adjustable short-shifter 02-05 WRX - $60 shipped

Sold Sold Sold

My car is gone, so I'm selling my Cobb double adjustable short shifter. This is a first gen Cobb shifter - may not be a looker, but it functions perfectly and it's not like you're going to see it anyways. I used this on my 2002 WRX and it works great! $60 shipped to lower 48.

Yes, I'm definitely old school. This is the early gen for sure. Doesn't look as nice but who cares, it's covered by the boot and it works just fine.

Sorry pal, but you're wrong. I've been around a lot longer than you, this is the first gen Cobb shifter.

It is for the narrow linkage such as 98-01 RS, older legacy and impreza, or 02-07 wrx with the factory optional short shifter.

You could use it in 02-07 wrx without the factory short shift option by just using 2 washers as spacers on either side of the bushings. Or I can include a used narrow shift linkage for $20 more. But it is a pain to install the linkage and spacing it with washers is much easier.

At least we settled that it is Cobb... I've used it on my 02 WRX for a decade without any issues. All you have to do is to flip the perimeter plate so there's no contact in first.

Here's more proof that it's a genuine Cobb shifter, including an install walkthrough on 2005 WRX.

Cobb short shifter and bushing install.

Instead of notching the metal plate, I was able to just flip it top to bottom on my 02 WRX.

Also, this shifter is not to be used with a factory short shift option - contrary to what some people stated above.

Interesting! I want an adjustable, but not sure about the new Cobb ones. This one seems to fit the bill nicely!
