can u fix the p0457-gas leak code. i know its not the gas cap. i think im having a vapor leak but im not sure where.

 

I had that problem on my 2002 wrx. After countless trips to the dealership who couldn't fix it and the fact that I couldn't register it in California since it would always fail smog, I just sold it. That fixed the problem.

 

well, that seems like a good way to solve it but, i cant sell my baby.

 

if you installed a new fuel pump, it could that the cap was not properly installed.

 

haha k i had this problem for MONTHS check the lines to make sure nothing is unplugged and then if thats not it try the gasket under the fuel pump on top of the tank
