Houston meeting?
Im new to I club and i heard that there was something like an Iclub meeting in houston and I was wondering when/where/if the next one will be. Since there are virtualy no subies around where I live this would be a great opportunity, for me at least, to see some sign of subie life outside my driveway. just wondering

Sorry about the long wait before my response but i had some last minute work to do... Down to buisness: on the side of a place called Fox&Hound bar and grill located on I-45 close to the intersection of I-45 and Beltway 8, off of Fuqua rd. in this parking lot there is a get-together/car show every saturday from around 7:00 PM to 1:00(ish)AM on a good night 30-60 nice cars show up ranging from dragtsers, muscle cars, misc imports, show cars & lowriders and me with the only subaru(2000 impreza RS, but not lately since its been in the shop) If you need actual insturctions Email me at zeek659@hotmail.com

if anyone is interested I have a few, nice misc. guages for sale and some subwoofers ( (2)10" and (1)8" ) a factory sub/amp from my RS needing a little repair& a sony cd/stereo 45x4watt with 4ch pre outs if interested email me and ask me to bring them to the show

oh yea.. sorry your question what part of houston i live in- I live just inside the city limits near pasadena, deer park, pearland, friendswood, sagemont... are you familiar with any of those I've been considering possibly making a new place to hold a more private car show maybe with only our subie's- its at a highschool(dobie in pasadena isd) with huge parking capacity (for fun) about 300yards away from the nearest road and is covered by the giant school(looks like San Jacinto junior collage) one parking lot has 400+car parking capacity (dougnut friendly) depending on people's interest I might organise a little show there

hey ill be there on saturday night with my rex as soon as im off of work. and no you arent the only suby in houston. right now my rex is pretty much stock 'cept for some minor body mods and a purge valve/ntercooler setup i hope to have installed on thursday. i live on the south side 59 and beechnut / trust me there are tons of imprezas out here.
as for meeting in a highschool parking lot, i dunno it sounds sketchy, security wont like it, i know for experience, if you dont mind coming into the city ill check with my boss from work and see if i can use my store's parking lot a night for a suby get together. but it will have to be late around 10 o clock +.

yay... I live near the Clay Rd. and Beltway 8 intersection. I'll come check you guys out Saturday Night. I want to finally meet some rex owners. I'll be the one with the '04 Java Black Pearl WRX. Hopefully i don't come too late because I have some other stuff to do. Possibly 10-11pm. Can someone show me some directions?

ok about the location and all to get good directions go to www.mapquest.com , put in your home address(or wherever you are starting the trip from) then put in this address as the destination(its the Sam's club across the street) 11101 FUQUA STREET HOUSTON , TX 77089 from there I'm attaching a little map so you can easily find it if you are blind or if you dont want to print the map or something just listen and look where all the nice/unusual to find every day cars and hot rods are driving to... ill e back with more directions later..peace

okay if you used mapquest.com and made it to sams and cant find Fox and Hound (which is pretty hard to do but it is possible since its partly blocked by some vacant, new store)
here's how to get there from sams
1-get to sam's
2-find the exit of the parking lot in front of Subway(cant miss)
3-turn left on Fuqua(get in right lane immediatly...umm spelling error?lol)
4-turn right at the light
5-take the first right into a parking lot right in front of 'Fox and Hound'
6 the show is to your right (i suggest that you find a parking spot toward the far right of the parking lot, my opinion but it doesnt matter) you're there.
Im not too sure on how long I'll be there but im planning on going with a few friends and gettin a lawn chair accomidated by some drinks in an ice-chest(i've got it made) so my estimate on how long ill be there...hmmm...7:30-9:30ish or as late as possible.
If all goes as planned I'll have free drinks for the Subaru guys
If you want beer there's always fox and hound but please don't be driving home,in your subaru

besides dilymonster and battousai, you 2 are going right?
there are a few guys from NASIOC coming as well(AT LEAST 2 including an STI)
i will try to stay as late as possible but no garuntees so try to get there, if you can, before 9:30ish

I'll try my hardest to make my way up there. Its probably gonna be like a 30-40 minute drive for me =/, I hope its worth it. I've gone to the Woodlands Meets a couple of times. They have a lot of nice cars there, couple of WRXs and a STi or 2. Driving there is like 30 minutes for me too.
I'm like in the middle of all the action and have to drive far to see some fellow subies. If I come, I'll be the one driving the bone stock '04 Java Black WRX.

ive been to the woodlands car meet but it was only some teen guys with eclipses, not fun for me. hmm i dont know any other impreza meets in the area, me and a couple of friends have just started a new racing group: Instinct Racing, we have alot of connections for cheap parts (these guys literally buy crates of parts OFF THE DOCK) if you guys are interested; also i have some friends that used to work at car toys if anyone wants professional installation on systems for a damn good price.

lol, only a couple of Eclipses? Everytime I go, there's a crap load of cars. A lot of domestics at first, then the imports come in later.
What kind of people are in your crew? And what cars? I'll be sure to ask you for some hookups once i get some money.

ya well i only went to the woodlands meeting once so i guess its not fait to say that.
as far as our crew, its just getting off the ground, i have a guy that just moved from denver and knows about all wiring and system set ups, have a bunch of parts dealers, the more you want the better your deals. he's getting me a UTEC for cheap right now, he's beat every price for every item ive asked him about. the more we use him the cheaper stuff gets. the rest of the crew is in the process of organizing a shop, planning on buying a lot more cars to work on and later sell. Our website will be up soon as well. but fo su if you need parts i can beat any price.
