Best Shop to Drop my Rex
Need to get Eibach ProKit springs installed on my 02 Rex (already purchased springs). I live in Euless TX and have called around...NO ONE wants to perform the installation. I have received quotes from two shops in Arlington TX...The DropZone and Alamo Autosports.
I would have gone to Fi-Systems in McKinney but thats too far of a drive.
1. Does anyone have any experience with these two shops?
2. Does anyone recommend a different shop?
3. What were you charged for the installation?
4. Have you experienced any camber issues?
Thanks!!!

ImspoRt Racing will do it I'm sure. They like to tackel new projects. Is there anything especially difficult about the installation procedure? They are in Lewisville, but they do have good rates and I've seen a few WRXs up there already, and they are practically the main guys all the New Tiburon owners are going to these days.

I work at Imsport Raicng and I have a 01 rs. I talked to my boss and he said that he will install your springs for $120 if you haven't already had them installed. Give us a call if you have any questions. 972-434-5700.
We just finised relpacing my rear main seal and clutch if you want to know if we have worked on any subarus before. granted the rs is a bit different from the wrx but it's still a scooby. =)

Got'em Installed
Took the WRX to the DropZone in Arlington TX. They did a good job except for an issue that I had with the front driver's side setup. When they re-installed the strut they accidently had the speed sensor line wrapped around the strut. I noticed the problem when I got home and installed my brand new 18" OZ Superleggeras. The sensor cable was just dangling...and couldn't be bolted to the interior of the wheel well cause it was wrapped around the strut.
It kinda ticked me off because I called their shop the same day of the install and tried to describe the problem to them on the phone. They said they didn't recall any issues with the install...but also told me to bring it in on the following Monday. They took care of the issue without a fuss.
Paid $150 for the job. It was worth it since I didn't trust myself to perform the install.
Thanks for all the advice.

Yeah...It was me. My car runs great. It dynoed at 219 whp and 221 tq. Already looking at the additional RT Spec components to give it 250-260 whp.
Why kind of mods do you have? I think you mentioned some Stage 4 kit???

I'm running TurboXS stage 4, which is a VF30 turbo, STi 565 CC injectors, Perrin fuel rails, APS topmount intercooler, UTEC engine control, 3" turboback exhaust, catless up-pipe, and all kinds of other goodies. I'm aiming for about 275 whp- we'll see if we can do it. My first visit to FIS got me 250whp, but then I added the bigger intercooler and turned up the boost.
