Just wanted to let my fellow DFW Subie owners know about an upcoming meet that I am putting together at Teape Subaru in Hurst. I don't cruise the boards very often but you can find me, with the same SN, on that "other" site. ; )

Long read but well worth it!!!!!

We have a unique opportunity coming next month. If you went to last month's meet, you may have met Hank Stecker from Teape (pronounced "TAPE") Subaru in Hurst. He is the parts/service guy over there and he was passing out some prototype TXIC member cards good for free oil changes and other discounts. He is looking to establish a relationship with the members and has offered the dealership as a meeting place. I spoke to him about this and we were able to work out some very special things for the DFW TXIC Meet. Here's what we came up with...

* A conference room with FREE FOOD AND DRINKS!!!. Just show up and chow down.

* He will bring out the '06 STi, TR, Forester, Tribeca, and Legacy Spec B for us to look at/sit in.

* Free Subaru gear to take home. (Banners/posters/catalogs/etc...)

*Teape's top mechanics will be available to answer any questions you have about your car or any current problems your are experiencing.

* SPT/STi product for us to look at.

* He is in the process of getting a rep from SOA's SPT division to speak to us about Subaru performance and Subaru performance parts!

This is also an opportunity to voice our opinions on what we, as enthusiasts, would like to see in a dealership in terms or performance parts, service, and other member needs. Hank, and owner Chris Teape, will be there to answer our questions so please have some ready for them. This will be an open floor discussion and our input is needed to grow their performance division. Nothing will be decided that night, but all considerations will be taken seriously. They will then invite us to Teape Subaru in Arlington to let us know the results of our discussion.

Finally, they will be talking to us about their new TXIC member program that will comes complete with discounts on service, parts, and special member incentives!!!

If you are coming to this meet, it is important that you respond to this thread so that I can put you on the list. This is so I can have an accurate head count of who's coming and to make sure that there will be plenty of food and drinks for everyone. Please indicate if you are bringing a guest. Parking will be at the dealership so we will have plenty of space. I hope to see you all there!
