That's not the GOP way. If there's something you don't like, just hate it and make it into the scariest thing in the world.

That mind set is exactly why McSame and Sara Falin lost this election. They tried to scare the **** out of everyone just like in 2004, but the people saw right through it this time. Oh and the weekly change in sloagans didn't help either:

If he was such a Maverick he would have stayed on message instead of listing to his outdated campaign runners. Now he's the maverick that got absolutely demolished by the community organizer.

I think the GOP got the message from this election and heard it loud and clear. The Republican party needs a full overhaul. Till then, get used to all of the new blue states.

I'm giddy just thinking about it. If the Reps split, that'd be sweet. I'd follow the real Reps like Ron Paul wherever they go. I hate the Palin Reps...

 

Frankly I feel that some of the arguments used in this campaign by the republicans really insult the intelligence of the American people. Yeah, giving yourself a cool nickname like "Maverick" is going to really make the the Fonz of the 2008 presidential race.

Then there's the fear mongering too...if he's a terrorist then I was born yesterday. On top of that, factions of the republican party are implicitly racist and religiously intolerant.
