Wolf Blitzer's report

Listen to it. It's been days since and nobody has said a word. Jesse Jackson would've already knocked on their door days ago demanding an apology had this been O'Reilly, Limbaugh, or Hannity. The hypocrisy is unreal.

Blitzer's a ***** for the administration. He's (sort of) a journalist....that's the only thing that differentiates him from O'Liely, Hannity, and Rush.

Rush, Hannity, and O'Reiley aren't journalists at all. They're supposedly entertainers.

Blitzer jumped the shark with the first gulf war, and has been whoring for warmongers ever since....it's his gestalt.

Oh OK, got it. We'll make it a point to listen to the journalists who bash the war, advocate gay marriage and excessive public funding from now on. Apparently their the only ones with an opinion that "matters".

I dont see what is wrong with it? Im not a huge fan of Blitzer, but his remarks arent racist. You can break view the phrase "so black" into a few different angles.

If he meant that their skin is "so black" that would be racist IMO

Otherwise, if he was making an overarching statement that most of the stranded people are blacks, then I think that is fine.

If a journalist is giving an opinion, they're not acting as a journalist.

Please cite an example of a journalist bashing the war, advocating for gay marriage, or for excessive public funding.

Becha can't do it.

Can we consider Moore a journalist? He did make a "documentary". Would that be a journalism act in your eyes?

Moore and O'Reilly are on the same level. The difference is that Moore has a sense of humor and is not trying to tie himself to a 'news network', while O'Reilly claims his filth is 'un spun'...but neither are anywhere close to being journalists.

Nope. More is a documentarian. That's not journalism.

Ok, I wasn't sure if there was a distinct difference or not.

Well, you are right there. Technically anyone that voices any sort of opinion is no longer a journalist, they become advocates. If that is the case though America's news is reported by advocates. You know as well as I do that the liberal bias in the media is overwhelming maybe not so much because it's what the "advocates" think but because it seems to sell. And in reference to "liberal journalism".......here you go.

http://web.nwe.ufl.edu/~jgoodwin/s99/levite.html (this one is kind of irrelevant and obvious but still applicable)

Playing devil's advocate to my own opinion. Here is an interesting link that definetly is substantiated. http://www.huppi.com/kangaroo/L-liberalmedia.htm

Walter Cronkite-- after the Tet Offensive-- openly questioned the Vietnam war on a news broadcast. It was a milestone in the history of journalism.

WOW, I'm not really an O'rieley fan either, but I would never put them in the same catagory. What do you concider Ron Regan?
