Ill give it to you that he was no where near the spending that GW has done, but its also the reason why I disagree with GW, he failed horribly at being fiscally conservative.

I never really "liked" Bush 41, he didn't do anything but make us read his lips, and he was wrong.
I think he didn't pay back against the debt. Is the govt a NPO?

He probably kept it and let is roll over?

Maybe the national debt has stuff that doesn't apply to the yearly budget, like maybe interest payments?

there is a lot of that talk in the full article, its rather interesting if you like to see how people can bend numbers and manufacture stats to make things look the way they would like to.

just like CEOs of huge corporations?

Yeah... I'm sure we're deeper in the hole than the current white house is willing to admit. Especially since the treasury and bank are handing out money like every week in the billions.

If only the war in Iraq has not gone on so long with so many lives lost and the money that went into it ....I believe that Mccain will win for sure! Whether we like it or not, Bush has ruined his chances of winning.

Well, maybe McCain/Somebody, but there's a chance he still wouldn't with McCain/Caribou Barbie. Sarah Falin ruined it for a lot of non-republican voters.

She's to far to the right, religious, and unfamiliar with national policies which makes people who lean right, center, or lean left uncomfortable with her. The far right loves her and the far left hates her. The people in the middle are not amused.

I've seen a few polls that show the public approves of her less than they did after the RNC.
