New US military rules mean that executions of condemned "war on terror" detainees could be carried out at the US naval base at Guantanamo Bay in Cuba, the US Army said.
Holy crap! This is probably the worst example of sensationalist journalism I have ever seen. That 'headline' certainly misleads. The gist of the story is nothing more than, if a detainee is found guilty, the military doesn't want to have to cart his *** all the way up to Ft Leavenworth. Blah. No more to the story than that.
Further, I went directly to cnn.com and did a couple of searches and didn't find anything that resembled that article. Ironically, thought the by-line is Washington, AFP, the copywrite at the bottom of the article reads:
© Copyright Agence France-Presse. All rights reserved. The information contained In this news report may not be published, broadcast or otherwise distributed without the prior written authority of Agence France-Presse

edit: I was assuming Washington, AFP meant Armed Forces Press or something. It's obviously Agence France-Presse.

It's like Ali G's proposed headlines to make newpapers sell better.
Front page:
THE WAR BEGINS...
And then in the actual article say: The war begins with a "w"...

It's short for "I bet they lock" or "in before the lock." Pay no attention to it... it's an acronym started by NASIOC’s OT crew . If you let it sink into your brain side effects of arrogance and extreme internet superiority complex will ensue.
But yeah, I see no reason to lock. If anything, I should sticky SilverScoober's quote by making a separate thread.

It's not the French, it's irresponsible journalists who use thier position tho push thier ideals and or purposfully mislead, thier audience for sales.

Yeah mostly gut reaction to anything about the French and their *****ing and whining....Sorry if I offended you riptide. I hold nothing against you personally if you are French......
I probably wouldn't have had said reactions if the French weren't "In-Bed" with Sadaam throughout the whole Oil for Food program....

of course i would only be able to speak for the woman...
