Sorry for being so naive... since when has anything been 100%? Do I really need to spell this out, Unregistered? I'd be willing to bet that 95 (or more) out of 100 would gladly hand it over. You just have a hard time accepting the fact that anyone would divulge anything personal, especially during an era of "big brother."

Stolen valor has forced veterans to realize that posing is an epidemic that sullies their good name. For example, being an elite Navy SEAL comes with the burden of knowing there's an estimated 300+ posers for every living SEAL. And this is just for one elite SOF force. Why not prove who you say you are when doubted or questioned? Your motives are to verify another veteran, not to steal their identity. You have everything to lose including pride if you don't. When dealing with another veteran in the divulging of information there's a sense of camaraderie and utmost confidence you'll probably never understand. It's an unwritten rule more powerful than knowing you cannot bang your best friend's sister.

Mike Sandborn, an FBI special agent and former Marine captain who works medals fraud and phony cases states: "Just ask. Don't be afraid to test someone if you think they are faking. If they are legit, they won't mind if you ask questions or request verfication.

What else do I need to do to convince you?

Look, I was just a dumb grunt; Not a Ranger, SF, etc.
But it still chaps my butt when I come across those that dishonor real SF'ers by claiming they worked side by side my OLMEKs pops.

Maybe it's a Soldier thang and you just don't get it.

Reread post #46 till you finally understand, or until your eyes bleed. Whichever comes first...

I don't see any problem with what Salty has done on this forum. Stolen Valor is a real problem. I spoke with my grandfather about this and it even pisses him off and he served in Korea. If he is legit then let him prove he is, otherwise he can STFU.

Furthermore I can get a picture of all my relatives that have served in about 1-2 days time if I really wanted too, what is lojas' problem?

Me thinks it just takes a while to learn Photoshop....
