I think we are in for a recession, and it has VERY LITTLE to do with Bush's insane spending and tax cuts! Rather than blaming a single president, it has more to do with a matrix of issues that transcend one stupid politician or party. Do I blame Clinton for popping the stock bubble? No, and I don't blame bush either. Speculation lead to both wealth and financial ruin in that market, and it will happen again in real estate.
I'm not arguing with the fact that Bush is going against CORE CONSERVATIVE values when it comes to spending, and I'm not alone when I say he's doing more damage in that regard than the average democrat president.
On the other hand, I fully support military spending because this is a big bad planet, and I'd rather the U.S. have the biggest gun. I wouldn't mind a tax increase to pay for it, but I'd rather have them cut some of the insane socialistic programs out of our country in-stead. Our country takes in PLENTY of money. We just need to spend it wisely.
