I know this sounds shallow but in my line of work when oil goes up rates go down. Same thing holds true for disasters but not as significant. So Katrina set-up a double whammy for lower rates and it might happen again with Rita. I swear i'm going to hell but when Katrina was on its way I couldn't help but think about rates. Now that Rita is en route to subaruguru I can't help but think about them again. Is that wrong?

Hell no, I keep thinking about these hazardous duty pay rates. Is that wrong?

If you can make money by offering a product/service that will save your customer money, I don't see the problem.
It's not like you, or Greenspan, created hurricanes for your own personal financial betterment.
