The U.S. government paid more than $1.7 million in defense contracts over the last decade to companies owned by leaders of Warren Jeffs' polygamous sect. The contracts, for airplane parts for the Air Force, continued even while Jeffs was on the FBI's "Most-Wanted List." The Pentagon stands by the deals. full story
WTF.....im so sick of this country..............so I have to pay tax money to go to defense contacts, then that go to people like this *******, then I have to pay again!@!!!!!!!! A ****ING GAIN!!!!!!!!!!! to arrest him, and spend tons on the trials brought against his people.......
WTF like our country is disgusting...they just waste and waste our money.....i could give a **** about other peoples complaints and reservations.............just take some ****ing responsibility if you are in a position of power and don't ***** all the peoples money............

sad case of affairs our country is in. but, you cant worry about the **** you cant control!!!
i have kids that cant find work because our country allows corporations to hire people from other countries. wow!!!

I'd like to agree, but there is far too much complacency in this country - something that has been growing for decades. People have been taught to be lazy and not question their government, abiding by the Strict Father mentality of "don't bother daddy, he knows best". It's as if we're being lulled to sleep by voluminous cable TV offerings, remote suburban living and, the big topper, $600 of free money next month. Just enough to make the average irritated US citizen think twice before getting REALLY upset.

It's just sad how irresponsible our government is with our money......nobody in power spends the money how it should, look at schools for example........its so ****ed up I can't even pretend to think it will turn out ok.

Is revolution even a real option these days? The right to bear arms means nothing when the government has a huge military, jets, missiles, nukes, etc. I think we're way past the days of a true revolution. Sadly, any serious changes are going to have to come way of political action at this point. On second thought, that might actually be harder to pull off than a revolution.
That what happens when you have people like Bush as the president. You voted for him, what did you expect.
You can't blamn companies for outsourcing. It's the American people who don't want to do the job in the first place or don't have the skills to. Who would go throught the trouble of hiring outsiders when they have to provide them with documentation and cost for Visa to have them work legally. It's because people who don't get a job is because they are taught to be lazy asses and not wanting to get the proper training and education to do well in the future.
Be real man America are full of immigrants you guys took the land from the Natives. Native Americans are the only people who have to right to say foreners are taking stuff from them.
I do agree with you thought, I don't see my tax money put to good use at all. +1...the country as a whole has started to care less about politics and the world at large. think about it; why would american idol have a better voter turn out than our actual presidential elections?
, account for multiple votes, etc....doesn't matter. it remains the same, no one cares, and those that do tend to be too pissed off to even read into what they're being mad about...

There is still hope...
So I take it you're all in college right now or have already finished your education? You are either seeking positions in the government as politicians or have already secured a position and are in the process of writing up bills to make this a better country? I know, I sound like a *****. Seriously though, you could be. That's one of the greatest things about this country is that you can get involved and make a difference. Revolutions aren't the answer in a free world. Save that barbarism for places where genocide is occurring. The opportunity is there, we just need to learn how to focus our efforts. A buddy of mine that I served with had some strong convictions about this country. At a young age he geared is education towards politics. Sure enough, that's what he's doing today (I think, I haven't heard from him in a few years now...the government probably had him silenced...).

True, we do spend buckets of cash overseas. Now you're getting into welfare reform issues. Our welfare system is brutally flawed. Millions upon millions gets wasted and pocketed every year. Too many able bodied people getting free rides generation after generation. I say stop worrying about the money we send over seas and start wondering where and how the money we have here is being spent.

Who cares if Jeffs' is into polygamy...see 1st Amendment of the Constitution.
As long as everyone involved is 18+, really, who cares if he wants multiple wives.
And as far as not being able to conduct a revolution by force/violence, let's just say there are more troops & leaders that would support one as would oppose it.
Now, if you wanna really shake up the System, do not vote for anyone with either an R or a D after their name.
Start small; local gov't first.
Then state.
Then......
In the meantime, buy a gun or five, and become proficient in it's use & care.
