Question on edumication for you college folk...
Is it safe to say that college educators/professors/instructors are doing more than merely educating students, but are also attempting to convert students to a liberal mindset?
Basically... are they teaching students what to think instead of how to think?
discuss...

Usually, a professor who is being "careful" will show his/her opinions through the way they moderate class discussion, and will fuel opinions they agree with.
Educated k-MBA in various parts of the Bay Area, I doubt this is still the case.
You can't blame the teachers for turning liberal though, since they see the quality of parenting going to hell. That would make anyone side with any form of abortion, such as "candied apple babies," where they inject acid into the amniotic sac, sucking the baby apart with a vacuum cleaner of sorts while the baby tries to get away, or just deliver the babie up to the head and suck its brains out. JUST KIDDING... I vote for mass sterilization.
Abortion is not a laughing matter... hell the democrats are pushing the shirt that says "I HAD AN ABORTION" on the front of it. Scum of the earth.

wow. i hereby nominate you for "King of the Rants"
you need to take some cues from Dennis Miller. Everytime I read your threads I picture the lights going dim and the camera panning in on your mug as you ramble away endlessly in a non-sensical / non sequitor fashion...
woops, Fox news is already on that tip

fair enough. I agree that centers of education need to maintain an unbiased approach, especially for younger students. It just so happens that the more educated you become the more liberal you become in turn

I was educated at two state run universities, which you would figure to be liberal. Admittedly most of my classes were in engineering which doesn't lend itself to political bias. But I didn't see any bias in the classes I took outside of my department. Maybe a little in a US history class but not much. The econ classes I took were definitely unbiased. I still use what I learned there to combat socialists regularly.

the school i went to most of my teachers went along the lines of teching you how to think. those were mainly all my engineering professors. pretty much all my non-engineering professors were more towards the side of teaching you what to think.
from what i have seen in classes, the more useless the subject in real life, the more the professor tried to switch you towards that liberal mindset. the more practical and technical it is, the more they didn't try to influence your ways of thinking

For the most part I have not had any proessors tell me WHAT to think. There have been a few, such as a socioligy tearcher who's course I was in on 9/11 so he got all crazy. I also had an African American history teacher who was very voca "progressive" what did nothing but tell us what to think. To be fair I also had a Poli Sci prof. who told us what to think with a VERY conservative bias. Still, three or four teachers out of 30+ ain't so bad.
