Public school students will no longer be able to buy regular soda...

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/12604166/

Tens of millions of students will no longer be able to buy non-diet sodas in the nation’s public schools under an agreement announced Wednesday between major beverage distributors and anti-obesity advocates.
Wow. After having spent 6 days in Tokyo I can unequivocably say that Americans (including me) are FAT compared to our Asian brethren, but... I'm not sure how I feel about this.

I once heard Bill Maher lay into a conspiracy theorist rant about this. Me thinks there is truth to the manipulation by corn-syrup peddlers.

Don't drink soda's horrible for you.... I always thought they should get rid of those machines. But money talks and health doesn't really matter I guess.

kids aren't going to want to eat healthy if they're forced to do it....they have to learn for themselves

The thing is that not only does Sac-reek taste bad, it's also as bad for you as sucrose. In other words, these kids won't get fat or get diabetes...they'll get cancer or liver problems.
