that's a lot of money to drop on guns...especially since I doubt Al Queda is planning a ground attack...

Obviously, I say this because of the latest news in which Osama claims to have attacks being planned in the U.S.

We've already heard of various planned attacks being foiled, such as the planned attack of hospitals and food distributors. These are just the one's that have made it to the news. Over the last several years, I myself have noticed the increase of "islamic looking" people in various security positions, including Bart (mass transit), malls, etc. Does it mean something? Maybe, or maybe not.
If the sh*t hits the fan, are we going to start interning people or what?

i think we should have used this opportunity to call him on his "truce" so long as he surrenders himself to ally forces and faces justice for his war crimes.
we all know he wouldnt do this, thus bouncing the buck back in his court. just for giggles lets say he does accept surrender. Fine we do that and start rebuilding Iraq.
but the policy stands "we do not negotiate with terrorists"

What scares me the most is that if another attack happens as a result of equal opportunity and the freedoms that make the USA what it is, then what's going to stop people from taking matters into their own hands? We remained VERY tolerant of Muslims on US soild after 9/11 and still continue to do so on a very large margin. But if we get infiltrated time after time again what's going to keep people from changing the system? Even I will have a breaking point regarding this…

Don’t worry salty terrorism networks have no protection on US soil.
The Muslim community is very wary about his situation and has been great at turning in names of suspicious activity and groups
so as i see it, having a sleeping cell here at home is very hard at the current moment because no one is willing to hide or help them.

The US was fighting a proxy war in IRaq 20 years ago....in collusion with the baathists....and in fact, we were still fighting the first gulf war right up to the time of the second one.

What are you going to say about Bush if/when sh*t hits the fan again? Since y'all tend to agree that Bush has already stomped on our civil rights, looks like you'll have to blame Bush for Going into Iraq (and hence ignore that 9/11 wasn't provoked by Iraq). Right?
