Obama and the press

Ya know I might not be in total agreement (or maybe even much of any agreement) with the policies I expect to come from him, but watching the last couple of press conferences Obama has had, I have to say it is really refreshing to see a president (elect) who can actually think about what he is saying and have a meaningful conversation with the press corps.

Every time the shrub would go before the press and recite his Rove-scripted-talking points I'd cringe at the sheer lack of substance, where you can tell Obama actually comprehends the questions he is being asked and tries to give a reasoned response, I don't think Bush was capable of any of that.

Obama may be using his own words, but there's not much substance in what he says either. He doesn't have any of the solid answers people are looking for. More of a "I'll get back to you about that" approach. But he is only the president elect, so I'll give him that.
