Democrats are concerned that the timetable falls short of his election pledges on troop withdrawal.

Everybody knew it wasn't going to be 16-months. Anyone who didn't know that already is an idiot.
The plan seems very reasonable to me. I see no problem with it.

I don't give a **** that it is the same policy. The only thing I care about is that it is a well thought out, reasoned approach. That is what I voted for. An intelligent man who is willing to surround himself with smart people, and make well-informed decisions.

I don't think you can deny the intelligence of Obama's cabinet, even if you disagree with their policies.
For example, I accept that Dick Cheney and Donald Rumsfeld are VERY smart men. I just don't' agree with their political ideology.
I voted for Obama because I think that he is a very smart man with general policy platforms that I agree with, who has chosen people for his cabinet who are intelligent, reasonable, and who generally (though not always) agree with my own political ideology.

And it was so reasonable of Dick Cheney or Donald Rumsfeld to lie to the entire American public.
I don't defend their actions. But I believe that they are still a group of intelligent individuals who can make good decisions for our country.
