Obama 2008?!
http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,223479,00.html

Do you think the country is ready for him? I'd consider voting for him. But I think if he did run against a white Republican then it'd be another 50-50 split of the nation.

If there ever was a time for a Black President the time is now. He does seem to have a good head on his shoulders. As someone that swings right, I would think a Black/Democrat would have a lot to prove, especially after the Bush years. I would probably vote for him just to break the monotony in the White House. But the Democratic may **** it up: http://greensickle.com/2006/10/updat...s_up_on_p.html

The only Democrat who would get my vote is Lieberman. If Obama was the vice, then they'd potentially have my vote (unless the Repubs actually put forth a decent candidate, which is doubtful).

A liberal (not whacko) friend of mine and I have talked about running as a Rep Pres/Dem VP split ticket. Yeah, it's dreaming now. But I think the country needs something other than a far right or far left whitehouse.
HD, don't forget Lieberman is still a Dem. Just registered Ind. I think he would be an alright guy. I would probably choose Obama over Lieberman.

I'm a Dem and I'd certianly consider voting Obama in '08. He is a newer politician with little international relations experience, which is my only hesitation. I'm eager to see what he does between now and then, and how he grows politically. Bush wasn't experienced in international relations when he was elected, and look where that got us. :/ We need a President that can fix this mess. Obama has my vote on domestic issues, now he just needs to cut those teeth in the internation scene.

if he runs in '08 i'll vote for him.....although i wish john mccain would run again (although probaly too old now) he is a great republican because he is open-minded towards liberal policies, but he also holds true to his republican beleifs. i wish he had one the primaries before!
