this "race" i think is the lessor of two evils. I doubt either candidate will have an amazing presidency. But from the looks of the poles the race has already been won, Obama has it in the bag. I think McCain would have had a better chance had he not picked Sarah Paylin. idk.. thats just my opinion.
I know most of the troops are voting Obama so they can get the hell out of iraq, McCain wants to stay there. Im not voting this year so in the end, my opinion doesnt count.

Obama here...McCain is running one of the worst campaigns I have ever seen which makes me wonder how he'd do as President. Hell his PR people aren't even on the same page as him (they run the attack ads and he in his town halls is trying to reverse some of the messaging which is getting out of control). Don't get me wrong, I'd have been ok if he was President but at this point it is lost unless someone finds a video of Obama biting a chicken's head off and humping a goat.
I wish he had gone with Linda Lingle or the other female Governor over Palin...ended up being one of the worst things he's done as a candidate. The sad thing is that Palin may really be a very good Governor but so much dirty laundry has been exposed that she may not even be re-elected when her term is up.

^^^I couldn't agree more. The Florida REPUBLICAN governor said that "McCain needs to fire his campaign team" and that he'll campaign for him when he has the time. By this time, McCain is just bad cop, worse cop with his "vice presidential choice" It's a big sess pool that i can't even make out.
Sarah Palin...WOW. I knew right away she was chosen just to be a political tool to help himself. And this whole ethics violation that popped up this weekend...come on. This is the person, who will take over if McCain somehow becomes incapable of holding office. A self proclaimed "hockey mom" who says gosh tootin and dad gummit after every sentence. She is pretty much a disgrace to this whole thing.
If anyone watched the VP debate it was clear who had a better head on there shoulders...

Looks like a lot of people are voting for obama. That is cool but he won't get
my vote. You want cheaper gas, don't vote for obama. He voted against offshore drilling. If you want to get taxed higher on everything then vote for obama. He claimed to give a middle class tax cut if he got elected as senator and that never happened. He is going to pull the plug on the war and run. The guy is involved with so many crooks that I can't see how people don't ask questions about that. I want to know.

I can't imagine why anybody with half a brain would vote for Obama.
If you think the economy is bad right now, wait until Obama gets his way and raises taxes. Companies are either going to fold or move overseas and take your jobs with them. Not only will he tax big and small business to extinction, he also wants to raise the inheritance tax and do away with the tax cuts that we have now.
That reminds me of the economy...why are we in this mess in the first place? Democrats. We can thank the Community Reinvestment Act and greedy banks for selling homes to people who couldn't afford them. By the way, Barrack Obama received around a $100,000 from Freddie and Fannie.
Obama's relationship with Bill Ayers and Acorn should also raise some concerns. Obama said he wasn't aware of Ayers past and that he had nothing to do with Acorn... Acorn is suspected of voter fraud in 14 or 15 states and Obama paid them $800,000 to "get out vote."
John McCain isn't the greatest choice either, but at least we would have a chance to get back on our feet.
Obama wants change alright....and it isn't for the better. Do you want to get slapped in the face or take it up your !@#

Read the entire article of the factcheck.org site you posted. It actually says that Obama probably WON'T raise taxes. Also read:

Having said all of this, I suggest having this thread moved to "teh politics forum" on the main page.
