I doubt they are doing it for monetary gain though in the traditional cybersquatting sense. They own them so someone doesn't put a site up.

You are right if it was owned by a group of white people or one white person that put a site up that was racist it would be indeed racist but no where on the whois does it state ones ethnicity so we wouldn't really know what race the person that owns it is, if it didn't say NAACP somewhere on the whois.

Secondly does it really make you that mad Jvick? Seriously? if it does you really need to think about your whole thought process. They do it for the same reason that the Anti-Defamation league owns www.kike.com so that someone can't put a site up that is derogatory to their race. Seriously WHO CARES?

It doesn't bother me. I think it's for the greater good. Hopefully it's helping prevent racism in some way by not letting a negative group start a hatred website.

I'm with Salty on the word issue though. If they are going to get upset about it then people shouldn't use it.
