More Immigrants...OH NO...wait...I mean THANK GOODNESS

So the answer really is to let more immigrants in legally. All the yelling and bit**ing about the border, and it turns out we need more immigrants to support our economy...WHOOPS!

Farmers could raise the wages they're paying.

Wages offered are too low.
Wages offered go up, people will take the jobs.

Remember, it's not so much that Americans won't do "those jobs" for low pay as it is Mexicans will take those jobs because of the huge pay increase from what they're making in Mexico.

Wages are too low. Especially if your talking about legitimate wages.
Most citizens cannot afford to raise a family at $10 an hour.
You have insurance to pay for.
Kid's school
Food
Housing
the list goes on and on

$10 an Hour is awesome if its tax free.
Plus you don't have an Income so you can apply for food stamps, welfare etc. See tax payer subsidized income.
Additionally you don't have to pay for school because you are receiving in state tuition, at a lowered cost plus the various grants you are eligible for (veterans stationed here don't get that deal)
It also doesn't hurt that can use the Emergency Room as your personal family physician. Ever wonder why an Aspirin costs like $20?

Heck with everything else paid for you can even send money back to the homeland. To the tune of 62 Billion annually to Latin America or 23 billion to Mexico. Mexico's largest source of Income (surpassing both tourism and Oil exports) (Source: BBC News).

So yeah, It's a win/ win for the illegals and farmers. The rest of us tax payin slobs are pretty f***ed.

They don't pay for their kid's school. Their kids go to public school -- if they are even that old. Most of the guys doing the $10/hr jobs don't have kids. They're young (20's), sent here by their family to make damn good money, then send it back home and eventually return unless somehow they can stay (green card, etc).

They're not expected to raise a family on $10/hr.
