Money for the blind!?

Saw this on fox new's homepage, thought it was interesting.

U.S. District Judge James Robertson said keeping all U.S. currency the same size and texture violates the Rehabilitation Act...

This is ridiculous. Makes you wonder how blind people have gotten by in this nation. What's funnier is that we're lving in an era where money is absolete compared to credit and debit cards. Hell, i've seen a blind man write a check perfectly too.

There's already a solution to this problem: Change

It may sound heavy but consider how many things you actually pay for in cash now given debit cards. Also consider the fact we do have Sacagawea dollars the size of a quarter. Two rolls would be about $40-50 give or take. What's more cost effective? Buying a purse or "man bag" or redesigning and printing new currency?

Not in America. Tradition is important as well. Look at home important the idea of a greenback has become. Our counterfeit technology is centered around maintaining the bills security and green color. Even though our bills have been of different size, I don't think bills were ever of different size from any mint at one specific time - at least not intentionally. I think uniformity is an important factor for our currency’s “image”
