He might be, but for you to say that in this context, I'd guess you have never been to China.

It isn't about race, that country does not seem to have any of what we'd call rules of the road- if you come up to a big intersection you'll have cars passing each other on either side- I've seen cars going the wrong way on exit ramps, 5-6 people in a family not one of them with a helmet- piled onto one little 125cc motorbike, not to mention all the wrecks.

Seriously- nowhere else in the world have I seen as many commercial vehicles (taxi's, trucks stuff that we'd have driven by professional drivers here- ) piled into one another and overturned as I typically saw on every significant trip- Bejing might be different, but driving around the back roads of Shanghi and Shenzhen make Mad Max movies look like high civilization by comparison.
