im going out on a twig here but i think if Kerry was president he would have been standing side by side with France and named a park after Arafat said he was a good man, then turned around and said he was a terrorist

France is a socialist country, and this has more to do with it. Arafat was a socialist, and socialists stick together.
I've been there, and they have a real racial struggle with their muslim population, and they've been the victim of islamic fundamentalist terrorism for many years, whereas we in the U.S. are relatively "new" to it.
