I can't speak too well on Ben; but I would be doubtfully inclined to believe Colin Powell, who served in two wars (WW2 and Vietnam) is a coward.

I think he just got discouraged and jaded from our recent military actions and president.

Well, his diplomatic role is certainly making a difference: he has been mending our foreign relations for quite a while now. I would hate to think of what the rest of the world would think of us if he wasn't.
