eHarmony caves to lawsuit, agrees to pair gays
In addition, eHarmony has to pay New Jersey ~$50,000, and offer free membership to homosexuals.
A settlement Wednesday between eHarmony Inc. and the New Jersey attorney general requires the online heterosexual dating service to also cater to homosexuals, raising questions about whether other services that target a niche clientèle could be forced to expand their business models.
I don't understand this one...
It's a private company... private rules and memberships. They should be able to do whatever they want. Really surprised that eHarmony is would be forced to allow homosexual match ups by a court.

So how does the compatibility test work? If I were eharmony I'd simply reject the compatibility portion of the registering process. Have the screen flash error once you answer homosexual, then refuse to continue.
