Global Warming...
As for your studies... Any theoretical calculation has variables. Those variables can be factored and figured to establish a predetermined outcome. To say that these studies are conclusive is foolish. Even in the world of science; money talks and BS walks. Most studies that deny global warming are generally paid for by large corporations that will be directly affected by regulations and restrictions. Just as studies that support global warming are paid for and funded by groups that support the global warming agenda. C'mon take a look around put the puzzle together. Can't you see how this is being shoved down your throat? Force fed if you will. What do you think the reason for this call to green arms is an inconvenient truth maybe? If you can't see that, you’re hopeless.

Why should I go to China? I can do more good here. People like you who think dissent is somehow 'wrong' and dissenters should be sent to China are lacking in a significant understand of the basis upon which western civilization is founded.

I do not feel this is force fed. I am glad to see it becoming more on the front burners, and harder to ignore. Go read some of the papers. Take a sample of 20 climate change papers from top peer reviewed journals, read them over a couple weeks, and then come back and say the data dont support such an asseration. Heck, we'll trade. I willgive you 10, and you give me 10, and we'll each read them all. I've already read quite a few - have you? Do you feel you can be well informed without having read them?

Many many of the studies are in now way theoritical models. They are looks at the past, of things that HAVE happened, and ARE happening. There are no variables there. Certainly, climate prediction is hard, and imperfect. But when well over 99% of scientists that are experts in the field say we ARE making a change, are you going to claim that every single one of them is being bought off? Even the ones whose research is NOT being paid for by corporations (because there are plenty, including ones at my alma mater, where their research was paid for my MY tuition). Sure, some of it IS effectivly paid for. Subtract that out, and you STILL get the VAST majority as concluding that we are changing the climate.

FWIW I give a crap about the environment. I'm not going to go out of my way to make an insignificant difference. This is not a grassroots effort like they would like you to believe. There's a lot more to it than that. All I can say is the sale of National Oil reserves to Occidental Oil. Research that piece of the puzzel...

Hahahaha...believe it or not, there are things on the earth that HAVE been around since the beginning. And believe it or not, we can extract some information out of those things to see what the climate was like a really long time ago, and get a timeline of what climate cycles are like. And don't think of it as a pissing contest, think of it as people who want you to want to be less ignorant...

Dude, wake up. Here's an analogy. You're car is stock, and you want to get it to 360whp. You put on a nice exaust, a MBC, and even an intake. Not much increase...you're still well short of your goal. So what's next? A bigger turbo and some tunning. Gotta get more power with a major change.
Global warming got it's intake exhaust and MBC(lowering CO and NOx)...but we all know that didn't do much. So attention is being turned to a bigger turbo and tunning (lowering CO2 levels)...gotta get warming down with a major change.
Global warming is not made up, there's no agenda other than to educate more people about what's really going on...there's not even any profit for anyone if everyone knows what's up. There IS profit, however, if people stay ignorant and distrust global warming.

No profit... I'm sure Al Gore made "Inconvienent truth" and then said "Ahh, wtf, I don't need to make any more money. Don't pay me a dime from ANY of the profits it makes."

THE PEOPLE DOING THE RESEARCH. They don't make any more or less money based on their findings...unless they're being paid by the oil companies...
not to mention the multitude of NON-PROFIT companies and organizations that are trying to promote lowering green house emissions...
I tried to stay away from personal insults, but you're really being an idiot about this.
What do you know about non-profits? The people doing the research will do the research as long as there is funding for the research. It's called a job. They ceratinly are not doing it for free.
