pretty sad state of affairs dont you think?

haha

whats even funnier is that almost all of those cases center around two individuals.. haha

am i seeing a patter of idiocy?

its weak because you cant even see the point we are trying to discuss, be it cognitive dissonance or just plain stupidity.

THE CHARGES YOU GUYS LEVELED AT THE DEMS ARE 10 ****ING YEARS OLD AND FOCUS AROUND THREE INDIVIDUALS

The charges the other side posted all happened in the last few years and were leveled at MULTIPLE INDIVIDUALS

and you guys are trying to say that your side is less corrupt, which i disagree with completely

Corruption exists on both sides, just so happens that i feel it is more on the repub side for multiple reasons. Including the concentration of power to that side right now, as well as the ties to big corporations and big money on that side.

Yes it does, but do you really think the conservatives are the only ones tied to "big money"?

I can agree with you there, absolutely. That being said though how do you expect to find an equal in allegations (whether convicted or not) with Reps. in charge? You just admitted that had a Democrat been in office there WOULD BE more allegations of wrong doing. Case in point, each side is equal when in comes to breaking laws in office. Why, because people with power are the biggest victims to temptation.

If Kerry had one we'd be talking about Carville instead of Williams. Wich brings us back to the point that whoever is in office will be the one facing allegations of dishonesty, weather it be Reagan, Clinton or Bush.

Provided is a timeline of political scandals, you will see a trend in allegations to the party who happens to be in power.

Extenisive list...it does look, though, that there are considerably more things linked to republicans than democrats, especially after 1990. Even with Clinton, there isn't that much. Not to mention that 'sex scandals' are barely corruption, since most of them listed are not even illegal acts (perhaps immoral, but that's not corruption...).

I knew that would come up, Clinton actually has his own section there. But the reason I posted anything in this thread wasn't to compare and contrast a point that one side is more corrupt than the other, it was to dispute those claims made in this thread. If I really wanted to participate in the little proposed game, I would have edited out the conservatives and conveniently forgot to post the link. But I didn't unlike others here, the objective of my posts were to enlighten some to the reality that no one political affiliation is dirtier than the other. These little constraints you guys put on classifying something as corruption really crack me up. Hypathetical situation: Say Barbra Boxer actually turned out to be a transgender member of the church of satan who showed up to work drunk every day, That's not illegal, therefore doesn't fit your defenition of corruption. Just because something isn't illegal doesn't make it right.

You guys just wont give up. One of the reasons I'm not a fan of the left wingers. If god came down and told them abortion is wrong, they still would fight for it.

Showing up to drunk everyday to work is against the policy of the office, so basically it is illegal...the part about transgender and satan, I don't care it'd be fine if she was like that and did her job as she had been before anyone found out she was all of those things...

just like I don't care about intermarital affairs as long as it's not rape (statutory or otherswise...)

Uh....if God came down, I'd be totally f***ed so I wouldn't give a damn about what he said at that point...I'd already be going to hell.

And the reason noone's given up on this thread is because the proponderance of evidense really does point towards there being more corruption in the republican party than in the democrats...yes, the democrats seem to be more sexually deranged, but they seem to be doing immoral things as opposed to illegal (by law or by rule)...

Really, what I come away from this thread with, is not that conservatives are 'more corrupt' always. What I see is that republicans tend to use their power to deal with money illegally, while democrats use their power to get sex...sometimes illegally.
