The "no plane at the Pentagon" is a classic ruse planted to discredit anyone who questions the "official story".
But the most unbelievable conspiracy theory of them all is the "official story".
19 guys, most of whom couldn't even get a plane off the ground because they were such terrible flying students, were able to deftly put these large multi-engined planes through maneuvers most seasoned pilots said were nearly impossible and nail their targets....oh yeah that must be what happened...
-which fails utterly to explain how 3 steel-framed buildings collapsed into their own footprints at freefall speed, (and don't give me that BS about the heat from burning jet fuel) why no fighter jets were scrambled to intercept any but the one in Penn. and what Dick Cheney meant when he said "the order still stands!" while they were tracking the plane that was on its way into the Pentagon.
And why, with the country under attack, the Secret Service figured it was OK for the President to hang out at a well-publicized public appearance while it was all going down.
Then why after all this took place, the president and the VP adamantly refused to go along with any kind of investigation of the incidents, until they were dragged holding hands to testify (not under oath, in private) before a commission that they refused to put together.
No, I can't buy even one bit of that conspiracy theory- not to say I've heard a better explanation, but to my mind the official story just does not add up.

Pete, the official story never seems to add up.
Japan's attack of Pearl Harbor, Gulf of Tonkin, The Kennedy Assassinations, 9/11, etc all have elements that we'll never know.

Whenever a story has loose ends or holes, people are willing to believe nearly anything that fills in the gaps.
