I guess you preferred small clandestine fires that left charcoal and broken glass buried in the sand?

That's funny...clandestine fires....and I predict that broken glass & nails will still be found during clean up.

The answer is simple….

Paint your cars with clever political expressions and pretty flowers so that the fumes will become "art" as well.

He says so himself

"This is the kind of art I do best," he said. "It's art that people actually use. It's not tucked away in a museum."
Paint away! Don't forget heat resistant paint on the tailpipe.

I love an ol' beach fire myself, it just seems a little odd that some think that this will end schrapnel-laced beaches.

I was more along the line of emissions. Drive a hybrid to the beach then go light a fire with 8-10 pallets in the attempt to heat the outdoors all while standing around the same fire speaking about GW and his adminstration and what they didn't do to stop global warming.

It took what was going to be a tragedy -- the loss of open-air fires on the beach -- and made it into an open-air museum of public art."
Glad we saved that tragedy, I wonder what the fee will be for the open-air museum. Who's designing it?
