Ok, so I'm helladumb when it comes to Mexican history... is this all true?
It's a very interesting story, regardless, but just wondering if it's accurate.

I know everything up to the last few paragraphs is true.
The part about hopping the border to fight in WWII and PGI seems a bit odd to me, but interesting if true. I've had a few Mexican (immigrants and naturally born) friends, and I don't recall any of them saying anything of the sort. Could still be true, but kind of sounds like spin to me.
