China Tells Congress To Back Off Businesses
I love how people act when there's an obvious interest. As if businessmen and politicians in China have no hidden interest in American oil. What ******. I hope we don't budge on this.

There's probably one fruitcake foaming at the mouth to get a large sum of money. This person will give China the benefit of the doubt and we'll have to learn our lesson the hard way.

If we let China do this, we truely are screwed. I don't think the Bush admin (or the similarly minded Senate and House majorities) will go for it though. I mean...they want to drill for more oil in America, it'd be pretty stupid to do that AND sell a big chunk of the resources we already have.

.Yeah, the best argument I heard against China's proposition is similar to that: we would never sell JPL, Hughes, or anyother military contractor to a company that is 70% owned by the Chinese gov't, so why would we sell the ulitmate military/economic/social/political advantage to them?
