China 1 step closer to kicking our @ss!

So they can kill our satellites, turn off our power grid, stop all military communications, and have a standing army of China loyalists already in our country. When do you think we will surrender, or do you think it's already happened? No shiz, they already have us under thier thumbs.

In all seriousness I wonder how long it would take the brains at NASA and the various defense industries to draw-up a missile that could do the same? One, two weeks, days maybe, assuming we don't already have one?
Would be funny if our government offered $250,000 to the first amateur person/group to draw a feasible design for immediate testing. Put it in Scientific American. Let the Chinese know it’s on our “things to do” list.

I remember hearing in the news last week when China announced they shot down a satellite, that we (USA) had already achieved that technology just over 20 years ago. I believe they said 1985. I mean think about it if we can intercept a inbound missile with a patriot then why couldnt we hit a stationary target. I personally think China is just flaunting the fact they just stole another piece of technology from us. Way to go China your about 20 years to late!

1. Spy satellites are not stationary, they move blindingly fast.
2. It's the sheer distance that makes it difficult, not the fact that it's moving.
3. It's not about military objectives; being able to destroy satellites, while not utterly crippling us, would have serious consequences on our ability to communicate.

Silly at best
Paaalease...
If we wanted to we could just send the space shuttle on (another) a secret mission to take out any of China's satellites. We already have unmanned vehicles that can reach orbit and rendezvous with satellites and the space station. If we wanted to go really low tech we'd just pack them full of explosives and have them go shake hands with Chinas satellites. Seriously though...quite silly.

You missed the problem too. It's not about "oh no, China's military has a capability we don't" it's about "oh ****... china can seriously **** up all of our methods of communication, particularly for the military, along with GPS capability..." Much bigger problem, although it's not really a problem until China decides that doing so would be to its advantage... and for what reasons it would do so.
